Question by Andrew: What is a good driver for a beginner golfer?
I’m a beginning golfer looking to get into it a bit more. I have really nice clubs except a driver. I’m looking for something in the 0-0 range. I also need something that is very forgiving. I am not that great at driving. It is my weakness.

I personally am a low handicapper (consistently in the high 70s) and last year i purchased the Taylor Made R7 Quad 425cc and I have been in love with it ever since I first hit it. The club head is large enough where it is going to be forgiving on miss hits, but not too large like the 460cc’s which many weekend golfers cannot control. The Taylor Made drivers are also quite long, I probably added 5-10 yards when i switched to it from my old Mizuno driver which I used to hit very well. Also, it includes the 4 movable weights if you want to try and set it up for a draw, fade, high or low ball flight. Plus, Taylor Made has 3 newer lines of drivers after this one, so you should be able to find a great deal on this club. Check eBay!

Note: This is not just a club made for low handicappers, its forgiveness will help beginners as well as you are more likely to miss-hit it.

Question by Jerry94: What would you recommend for a beginner golfer?
Most experience I have is putt putt golf lol. How would you recommend starting out. I mean like with course, clubs type stuff. Any info about being a beginner you offer will help. Thanks everyone!
Also, do driving ranges offer clubs to use? Or do you need to bring your own?

I would go to a local driving range and borrow an iron to familiarize and work. Go find a 1 -2 week golf camp to learn and understand the basics.
