Does anyone know where I can get golf yardage books?

Question by mushu: Does anyone know where I can get golf yardage books?
I cannot find the golf yardage book for my home course anywhere and the guys at the pro shop don’t have a clue. My golf instructor said I should get one. I’ve seen all the guys on tour like Tiger use it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Regular courses don’t have “yardage books”. Those are only for professional caddies so they can make calculations for their player. It would be pointless for a regular course because that means they would have to produce them, write notes on them, etc. and it wouldn’t be worth it.

The only thing I can think of that would be close is taking the scorecard and a notepad and do it yourself. When your instructor means yardage book, he probably means like a notepad about the course you have played at and know the distances, not an actual caddy yardage book.

Q&A: How and where can i find golf yardage books?

Question by Eric: How and where can i find golf yardage books?
Tour pro golfers, or they caddies, always have yardage books with all the distances, from the tee to the fairway bunker, for example.
I am trying to find these for some courses I want to play, but I can’t seem to find any. Example: they just played the Golf World Cup at the Country Club in Barbados, in December. Well.. nobody has a yardage book of that course. Thanks to anyone who can shed light on the problem. Eric

These are typically available only from the club that the tournament is played at. Most make these available for sale, but some provide them for members and guests only.
