How will Wie entertain us this week?
Question by Barometer Soup: How will Wie entertain us this week?
She’s back… after back-to-back last place finishes on the PGA, the golfer who I find to be the best entertainer is back! She turned 17 today and is playing in her final LPGA event of the year starting tomorrow.
I can’t wait to see what will happen. Will she break another rule and get another penalty? Will she fire her caddy or get into a fistfight with that feisty Morgan Pressel? Heat exhaustion? Last place finish? Or, now that she has turned 17 will she upgrade her tiresome mantra to, “…I’m only 17 and I’m still learning…”?
(Or, more than a year after going pro will she finally win her first tournament..?)
golfrewin: Yea, I’m kinda “anti-wie”. I think she would rather be mediocre on the PGA than exceptional on the LPGA and I think her family showed poor character in taking the m Nike money and forcing her into something she wasn’t ready for. She should finish high school and then focus on being the best LPGA player she can be.
1st day: Wow – 30 minutes to play a 354 yard hole in 8 strokes – 4 over par! Webb, behind her, wasn’t happy at all!

Well, I can tell by your post that you’re anti-Wie. I’d have to say I am on the middle here. I think she will become the best female golfer in the World. At the same time, I do think she should stop playing mens events for the time being, although I did attend the Sony Open when she was in the field and it sure brought a huge buzz to the event.
I think she’ll have a top 3 finish at this tournament. I’m hoping she does get her first win under her belt here, though.
