Question by meg_32586: Golfers I need your help, men especially! Are the practice Nets for golf something that is used?
Every time that my boyfriend and I go shopping and go to a sports store or somewhere that has golf things he always looks at the golf practice nets. His birthday is coming up and I was wondering are the golf practice nets something that golfers use and do they help? He loves golf and I already got him a couple of other items but I was looking at these. Any help is appreciated and any other ideas for items golfers use is also appreciated!!!

these nets have their uses but can give a wrong indication as to where the ball is going as only the first few feet of travel is known

Question by Golf Freak: Any golfers in the Murfreesboro, Tennessee area that shop at the Golf Etc. shop?
I am going to go there to ask them about some clubs. Do they know what they are talking about? Will they tell me the truth or just try to get the sale?

I’m not sure about this store because I’ve never been there before even though my in-laws live in the Murfreesboro area. However, if you are looking for reputable service and salesmanship in the middle TN area, I would drive over to Franklin and go to Golf Galaxy. The employees there are incredibly knowledgeable. They have a top of the line simulator where you can hit clubs and compare them to one another and they are completely honest.

I work in Cool Springs and have been shopping for a new driver for about a month now. I believe that I have hit every model that they have, from the Nike SQ all the way down to the Mactec driver. I finally settled in on the Adams Insight driver, but before I purchased it, they recommended that I bring in my old driver and compare the two. As it turns out, the new driver only added 4-5 yards per drive, and my accuracy was the same with both. They recommended that I not purchase the new club. It cost them a 0 sale, but the integrity speaks volumes.

I personally wouldn’t buy golf equipment anywhere else.
