Golf Classic Raises 25k for Boys and Girls Club of Marshfield

DATELINE:  MARSHFIELD, PEMBROKE AND PLYMOUTH, MA…  

BuyTheCase.net, an online retailer based in Pembroke, held the Golf Classic at Crosswinds Golf Course in Plymouth.  The golf event included lunch and dinner, a cocktail hour, a silent auction and raffles.  The event was so successful that a date for the next Golf Classic has already been booked for next year.

 

“The event was incredibly successful and we’re extremely grateful to Jack Griffin of BuyTheCase.Net for his sponsorship of the Golf Classic.  We’d also like to thank the golfers and everyone who sponsored holes and donated items.  The money raised is earmarked for Boys and Girls Club programming and scholarships,” noted Greg Jackson, Executive Director of the Boys and Girls Club of Marshfield.

 

McLaughlin Chevrolet gave away a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu to a golfer who hit a Hole-in-One.  Sponsors for holes included: EMS Academy; East Bay Grill; Sundance Homes; Haddad’s Ocean Café; Ninety Nine Restaurant; Bridgewaye; BH Plus A AutomaTech; Steve and Wendi Monahan; Brockton Plastics; South Shore Savings Bank; Damon, Topham & Company, LLC; George Washington Toma and Xtreme Carpet Cleaning.  Eastern Bank is the “Closest to the Pin” sponsor and Staples is the “Long Drive Sponsor”.

The Boys and Girls Club of Marshfield’s purpose is to establish a safe haven for recreation, which includes a variety of supervised activities for greater than 4,000 youths (between the ages of 6 to 18 years old) within the town.  The Boys and Girls Club of Marshfield has five Core Areas:  Character and Leadership; Education and Career; Health, Sport Fitness Recreation and Life Skills; The Arts; and Technology.  These Core Areas serve as the foundation for all programming.
