Question by Sam S: Just for fun #2?
4. LADY GOLFER ….. I was at the golf store comparing different kinds of golf balls. I was unhappy with the womans type I had been using. After browsing for several minutes, I was approached by one of the good looking gentlemen who works at the store. He asked if he could help me. Without thinking, I looked at him and said. I think I like to play with mens balls

5. NUTS ABOUT YOU….My sister and I were at the mall and passed by a store that sold nuts. As we were looking at the display case , the boy behind the counter asked if we needed any help. I replied, No, I am just looking at hour nust. My sister started to laugh and the boy just grinned.

Help writing a console application the calculates golf scores?

Question by eszcz21: Help writing a console application the calculates golf scores?
need help writing a a console app that does this:

Problem:
Write a console application that processes golf scores. The scores of four golfers are stored in an input file. Each run of your program should only read one input file. Your program must ask the user for the name of the input file to be used for the current run. Do not hard-code the name of the input file to be used. The four sample input files you have been given are named golf1.txt, golf2.txt, golf3.txt, and golf4.txt. Each line represents one hole, and the input files contain several lines. Each line contains five values: par for the hole, followed by the number of strokes that each of four golfers took on that hole. For instance, this input line:

4,4,6,5,4

means that par for this hole is 4, and golfer #1 scored 4 on the hole, golfer #2 scored 6, golfer #3 scored 5, and golfer #4 scored 4.
The first line in the input file gives the data for hole #1, the second line in the input file gives the data for hole #2, etc.
Determine the winner(s) (i.e., golfer #1, golfer #2, etc.) and produce a table showing how well each golfer did (compared to par). More precise output specifications are given below.

Output:
Your application will write output to two places, a file and the console screen. The output written to each place will be different.
Your application should create an output file (a text file) named GolfCourseSummary.txt. This file should contain two headings, Hole and Par. Underline each heading with dashes. Under the first heading will be a column of numbers representing the golf hole numbers. The right-most digit of the number should align under the letter “l” of the heading title “Hole”. Under the second heading will be a column of numbers representing the par for each respective hole. Align these single-digit numbers under the letter “a” of the heading title “Par”. Do not write anything else in the output file.
The rest of your application’s output should be displayed on the screen. The output should look like the following:

Golfer(s) with the low score of 71: Golfer #1 Golfer #4

Par for the course: 73
Golfer’s score and score relative to par:
Golfer #1 71 -2
Golfer #2 88 15
Golfer #3 79 6
Golfer #4 71 -2

Notice that several golfers may shoot the same low score. Also notice that scores and scores relative to par should be right-justified, i.e., the right-most digit of each number should be aligned with those above and below it.
Your program should be able to handle a test input file with any number of lines. In other words, do not hard-code your program to read exactly 18 lines, for instance. It should read an input file of any length from beginning to end.

What’s your question? As it stands, it looks like you expect someone here to write this program for you.

That’s not the way Yahoo! Answers works. Show us your code so far — and not just the basic read-input, empty for loop, print some output, but some real code, and maybe someone can help you.

Sorry.
